Carla Petty, CRSP

Carla Petty joined Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier, LLP, in 2001 and manages Third-Party Administration for the firm. She provides pension consulting and ongoing administration of qualified ERISA plans for clients. Ms. Petty works with attorneys, brokers, investment counselors, and other professionals in the ERISA Plan market to deliver a unique and individualized product to each client. She has over 25 years of experience in qualified plan administration and has served in various management and client relationship positions with JPMorgan Chase and Bank One. Her experience includes all phases of plan design, implementation, compliance and special issues management, and Department of Labor and Internal Revenues Service plan audit consultation and representation. She also helps coordinate and manage the tedious and time consuming process of plan termination.
Ms. Petty stays informed of the ever changing legislation that affects the daily administration of qualified plans. By providing clear, timely communications on the implications of these changes and through ongoing discussions with plan trustees and company owners, she carefully develops approaches that suit the specific needs of each individual client and their specific plan. Her work assures the most efficient use of time, internal administrative resources and external costs without compromising benefits for employees or results for owners.
Ms. Petty obtained her Certified Retirement Services Professional Certification in 1999 and is a member of The American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. She attends numerous classes and seminars relating to all phases of qualified plan administration. As an undergraduate, she studied business and economics at the University of Texas at Arlington.
