Michaela Cromar, CPA
Senior Tax Manager
As Senior Tax Manager at Sanford, Baumeister & Frazier, LLP, Michaela Cromar manages income tax engagements for businesses and individual clients. Integral to the success of SB&F’s not-for-profit industry niche, she brings extensive knowledge from her eighteen years of experience in tax consulting.
Formerly, Ms. Cromar was the Sproles Woodard, LLP supervisor focusing on nonprofit organizations, trusts, and high net worth family groups. As a member of their management team, she oversaw client relationships and reported to their boards of directors, committees, officers and owners, trustees, and external advisors.
Before that, Ms. Cromar was an accountant with J.A. Garrison and Co., P.C. in Fort Worth.
A frequent guest speaker in the nonprofit field, Ms. Cromar has presented to the Brite Divinity School Board of Trustees and the Funding Information Center, among others. In addition, she was selected as a faculty member for the University of Texas Law School Annual Nonprofit Organizations Institute in January, 2011 and 2014.
Michaela is a trustee of Brite Divinity School, and a member of both the Fiscal Affairs Committee and the Audit Committee. She also serves on the board of Leadership Fort Worth, the Women’s Policy Forum and is the Treasurer Elect of the Texas Society of CPAs. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA), and the Fort Worth Chapter of the TSCPA. Previous community and professional service includes treasurer and board member of Courage and Renewal- North Texas; treasurer and finance committee member at Colleyville First United Methodist Church; treasurer and 2003 class representative of the Air Force Academy Parents’ Club; Fort Worth TSCPA chair of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Tax Hotline; and membership in the “One Brick” section of Fort Worth Leaders’ Fund. In addition, Ms. Cromar is a graduate of the Leadership Colleyville and Leadership Fort Worth programs.
Ms. Cromar earned her bachelor of arts degree with honors from Queen’s University at Kingston in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and her masters of professional accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
